Recall Info Auto-Print

You now have the option to automatically print the recall information if all the following are true:

• You are an Authorized Harley-Davidson dealership
• You have enabled ‘H-D Net VIN lookups’ in the management page.
• You have enabled ‘Recall Lookups’ in the same place (your Service Manager can do this for you.)
• You have selected Yes for ‘Auto-print Open Recalls’ (yep, same place.)
• There MUST be an open recall. If there are recalls, but they’re all closed, nothing will print. If there are two recalls, and one is closed, they will print. Basically, nothing will print automatically unless there is an open recall. In any case, you can always print them manually using the printer icon above the recall information.

So, you’ve checked all that, and it still does not print the recall information. You can still print the recall information by using the print icon near the recall information. But, this way is much cooler than that. The recall information will print automatically if your browser is configured to allow it.

You need to allow popups from www.servicesheet.com to make sure this happens automatically. Take a look at the image at the end of this article. If you are seeing a message in the browser window that looks like the following, read on. (If you are not, please give us a call and we’ll help you get it working.)

If you are seeing one of these messages, here’s how to configure your browser to allow popups from servicesheet.com, and your recall information will print almost automatically (you’ll still need to click “Print” to actually print it out.)

Internet Explorer
If you see the message “Pop-up blocked. To see this pop-up or additional options, click here….”, you can click on the yellow bar, and you will see the following option:

Always Allow Pop-ups from This Site

Click on that. Then you will be asked a question like this:

Would you like to allow pop-ups from ‘www.servicesheet.com’?

Click yes, and then re-enter the VIN. You will get the popup print dialog if there are any open recalls.

Firefox
If you see the message “Firefox prevented this site from opening a popup window. Click here for options…”, you can click on the bar. You will see the following option:

Allow popups for www.servicesheet.com.

Click that, and then re-enter the VIN. You will get the popup print dialog if there are any open recalls.

If you have previously blocked popups for servicesheet.com, you will need to go about allowing them in a different way. You won’t see any status bar like in the windows below. You’ll need to go into the browser Tools > Options and enable popups there.
